About the speech of V. P. Sherstyuk at the Sixth China Internet Security Conference (ISC2018), Beijing, PRC, September 4-6, 2018.
The Sixth China Internet Security Conference (ISC2018) took place on September 4-6, 2018 in Beijing, PRC. It has been held since 2013 and over the years this annual event has become the most significant and influential in this field in the Asia-Pacific region. More than 30 thousand experts from more than 500 companies and scientific institutions from the countries of the Asia-Pacific region and Europe took part in the last conference. Over 160 speakers took part in 16 thematic sessions.
One of the organizers of the Conference, the Chairman of the China Association for Friendship, Mr. Chen Zhimin, invited the President of the National Association for International Information Security (NAIIS), Head organizer of the International Information Security Research Consortium (IISRC) V.Sherstyuk to make a presentation at the plenary session of the Conference in the Palace of Congresses in Beijing, September 4, 2018. In his speech “Main International Information Security Challenges” V.Sherstyuk emphasized that new ICTs are becoming the basis of economic growth, but at the same time, the ICT environment is not only a new factor in the sustainable development of society, but also a factor in increasing the social danger of actions related to the implementation of criminal intentions, carrying out of terrorist activities, a new space of international disputes and conflicts.
